V. Unbeatable (Vikas
Unbeatable) is a Mumbai based dance crew. They rose to fame when they took part
in the Indian Dance Series “Dance Plus” for season 4 in 2018. They received
international coverage when they took part in season 14 of America’s Got Talent
(AGT).
One might wonder, why are
we gushing about the “V. Unbeatable” and
that’s because we have been fortunate enough to design their dance costumes for
their performance for the “Red Bull
Event 2019” as well as for “Star
Screen Awards 2019”
It is important when
designing a dance costume to add a sense of realism or context into a character
through the clothing worn. It is the designer’s responsibility to make sure the
costume work for the actor/dancer/performer making it work for their
play/performance. And we were asked to design costume based and inspired by the
“pilot uniform” and we delivered it to them exactly how they had envisioned it
to be.
