ENVISAGE INSTITUTE OF DESIGN

Founder of "ENVISAGE INSTITUTE OF DESIGN " Best Institute In Fashion And Interior Design.

                        Mrs PRIYANKA GOSAVI
(Visionary Entrepreneur, Interior Designer and Model)

Women Empowerment in 21st century is not a term, rather it's an emotion that has helped many women's to think out of the box and explore the talents within them.
So on Women's Day here is a special article on Mrs Priyanka Gosavi An Entrepreneur, Teacher, Interior Designer and many more Mrs Priyanka Gosavi is one of the youngest achiever in Mumbai. She runs her own Institute "ENVISAGE INSTITUTE OF DESIGN" at Borivali which offers courses in Interior and Fashion Design but reaching here was not an easy job. She had her own struggles. Lets have a look on her inspiring story. She was born and brought up in Nasik. She wanted to pursue Architecture in her college from her childhood she was always interested in creative activities and arts. She always wanted to do something in artistic field but improper knowledge about choosing career path she dropped Maths in 11th std which was main subject for Architecture due to which she was left in doubt about choosing career.
Her parents wanted her to make career and become a doctor but her dreams were different. By Gods grace she got to know about Interior Designing from her aunt which made her think and do research on Interior Design and finally after knowing how creative and Artistic Interior Field is she decided to do Interior Design and become an Interior Designer.
Her main aim was to earn as soon as possible and make her parents free from all responsibilities which is rare these days. At the age where we think how our career should expand, she thought how to make her parents free from free from duties, Isn't it Inspiring? For that she started working at an early age in a call center where she came to know that earning money is not easy.
She pursued her career from a private Design Institute for which she asked her parents whether she can go to Pune for exposure & studies. Her parents at first opposed her but she convinced them some how. Her parents agreed only on that condition that was they will pay her fees for first 6 months; later she has to work, earn, & pay her fees. this was done to make her realize how you have to face hardship in life, which made her strong for further journey of her life.
Her mentor Mr. Datta who was her software teacher saw her teaching skills when she need to help her classmates. She pursued a carer in designing but was not satisfied so Mr. Datta offered her teaching job for which she prepared in just an hour and got a teaching job in DIDT Institute at Nasik. Meanwhile where her professional life was climbing hills of success; her personal life took a beautiful change, she got married to Mr. Dipak Gosavi. He is her main support system. Because we have observed after marriage women's life and career's growth stops but this was not case with her. Her Husband and In-laws motivated her and support through out. After getting her first award from Times Of India as a best faculty in Interior Designing in DIDT Nasik. She was offered many jobs one such a job she took and shifted to Mumbai. She saw all her dreams come true when she reached here. She worked asd faculty and Managing Head at one of Mumbai's Design Institute but somewhat there was one thing churning in her head that was struggles and challenges she faced as Interior Designer her students were facing same. So she took a huge step & risk of leaving her job and starting her own Institute - which is ENVISAGE INSTITUTE OF DESIGN. This was beginning of her struggle and empowerment, starting path was very rough as expenditures were huge as compared to income still she gracefully handled all bad situations. Many people laughed, made fun of her, criticized her but all she did was waiting for time to change. All of this was done as she was having her mother's support and her blessings. Time changed and slowly but steadily ENVISAGE started filled with students . EID is formed to provide quality education with affordable and flexible fee structure to the students who want to study but do not have a strong financial background. Mrs Priyanka Gosavi want ENVISAGE to be a practical knowledge based and not a money oriented education Institute.
Here they offer practical knowledge and training to students rather than only book studies, they organize various workshops, I.V.'s for both Fashion and Interior Design Department. ENVISAGE INSTITUE OF DESIGN is one of the top Institutes in Suburbs and in just a span of 8-10 months.

She gives her success credit to her Mother, Father & Husband. Her Mom Mrs. Sushma Goswami was the one who was Rock Solid Support, who was through all her tough times all day and night. We have seen how women empower other but this is an eg. how a mom with no knowledge of the field stood by her daughter. Her Dad Mr. Amerjeet Goswami who loved acting and also did theater in his young days motivated her in her modelling field even her first stage performance was in her childhood with her Dad. Her Husband Mr. Deepak Gosavi supported her to pursue her modelling career. Being an Actor, performer and Dancer himself he supports her to follow her passion. Her friends and well wishers Harshal Mistry and Ganesh Deokar also helped her in making ENVISAGE a successful Institute. Modelling and walking on ramp was on her bucket list since teenage that was recognized by her husband. So he groomed her very well and she came through as successful model.
She won many Awards like,

"Best Faculty Award" recognition from the Times(2015),
 "Mrs Raigad" Winner (2018),
 "Mrs FAAB" - 1st Runner up (2019)
"Womens Iconic Educator in Interior Designing" Award (2020)

Lastly we would end this article with her personal message to all women "Do not suppress your Dreams & sacrifice them, live your life you want to by managing all duties together."

NEETA LULLA (BEST FASHION DESIGNER)

                                                            NEETA LULLA
                      (Fashion Stylist and Costume Designer)

Women's empowerment simply means that women of our society have to give strength and authority. To give rights to women, we have to bring many changes in our society and both women and men have to be given equal status. The day in our society both women and men will start getting equal status is the day a new era in our society will start and that era will be the era of development. And here, the woman is considered to be a service to the husband and a householder. Until we empower all the women of our society completely, only then our country will develop. Our nation's father Mahatma Gandhi has said that unless all the women and men of our country work together, our country will not develop completely. It is also very important for women's empowerment that we should pay attention to women's studies as well. Until we will not teach women in our society, women empowerment will never happen. When there is power in a woman, she can bring change into the society.

Neeta Lulla is a fashion stylist and costume designer who has been a leading fashion designer since 1985 and has served in up to 300 Bollywood films. She has been associated with several A-listers like veteran actresses Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai as she designed their costumes for Devdas (2002), a Bollywood film which had set a unique fashion trend in India. Her first major client was Varuna Jani, a jewellery designer. She has focused completely to clients’ base from Bollywood industry. She also designed costume for Sapna, a prominent actress in South India. Then, she also designed for Sridevi and Salma Agha.

Neeta is a workaholic. She started from scratch and now rules the skies on her own. She has become an iconic name in fashion world and adorned hundreds of movies and got international fame. But her story is truly breathtaking and inspiring just like her designs.

Her story is inspirational for those who don’t have resources, ambition, or proper career planning. She is the perfect example of great transformation when opportunity strikes. She is known for great passion for her work. Now, she is every actress’s favorite.

She was born in a middle class family in Hyderabad. Her father was a businessman and her childhood was happy. Every month, her family used to visit Mumbai several times. Her studies were affected due to these visits. She was more fun loving and loves to watch films.

Her family had belief that girls are not meant to work outside.
Not many fans know that she got married to a psychiatrist when she was 16 and her husband was 11 years older to her. Just to avoid further studies, she married to him. But her plan didn’t work as her in-laws also forced her to study and make career. Now, she had just two options – either to start tailoring or cooking. So, she developed a lot of interest in fashion and styling. She got her bi-monthly fashion magazines when she was at young anger. So, she made decision to enroll a course of garment manufacturing and pattern making in SNDT, Mumbai.

Although her husband Shyam Lulla was supportive, she decided to become independent. She had integrity to do something more than ordinary. Definitely it took much time to arrange money herself. But she decided to stick to ethics. This is how a legend was born.

She added that she cannot work in specific parameters, excluding films. She always wants to do something different. She hates boredom. She started to collect money by making egg sandwiches and had enough savings to get the first sewing machine from her income. She started with just one tailor with Rs. 500. Gradually, she increased the numbers.

Neeta Lulla is a fashion designer who used to sell sandwiches so she could collect funds for her first sewing machine and to hire a tailor. Today, she leads the staff of 250 employees. She worked in more than 300 films and is the winner of four National Awards. Hence, she is the only designer who rose to such prominence. Working without thinking of time, hours of brainstorming, and giving priority to work over anything else literally paid her off and made her an iconic figure from an ordinary woman.

Her 2016 collection "#SheIsMe" simultaneously communicated both gentleness and resilience in the face of abuse. The collections debut at Lakme Fashion Week included a dance recital that spoke against women abuse. Later in her career, Lulla opened The Whistling Wood International Neeta School of Fashion in her home city of Mumbai. The institute offers a selection of courses in fashion, merchandising and online marketing. The school is currently owned by Subash Ghai who has worked with Lulla on several films.

She got so many awards like:-

  • National Film Award for Best Costume Design 2012 for Balgandharva
  • National Film Award for Best Costume Design 2009 for Jodhaa Akbar.
  • IIFA Best Costume Design Award 2009 for Jodhaa Akbar.
  • Kingfisher Fashion Award 2005 for Contribution to Fashion
  • Bollywood Movie Award – Best Costume Designer 2003 for Devdas.
  • Zee Cine Award for Best Costume Designer 2003 for Devdas.
  • National Film Award for Best Costume Design 2002 for Devdas.
  • Bollywood Movie Award – Best Costume Designer 2001 for Mission Kashmir.
  • IIFA Best Costume Design Award 2000 for Taal.

She also has an advice to wannabe fashion designers and her fans, “Education always helps to polish your talent. It shouldn’t let you down. You should focus on your technical skills and key strengths."

WOMAN'S DAY 2020

"A Small Change in Our Thought About Woman,
Can Bring A Big Change In Her Life"

We humans have a general perceptional opinion about a woman from decades and the same is passed on through generation to generation.

Sometimes, it is our thoughts that really makes a woman weak than she actually is.

Because every women is capable of something or the other. But we convince her that she can't and so she don't even dare to make a trial also.

So the question is how can we bring up a change & give strength to a woman? The answer is within us. It all makes a difference when you analyse a girl:-

As "After all she is a girl, so she should stay at home so that she don't get raped"
or As "Girl must be respected so that she don't get raped".

As "After all she is a mother, she must take care of the child"
or As "She is a mother and lets help her to bring up her child well".

As "After all she is a girl, its not her cup of tea, Let her out from the work team"
or As "She is strong enough to face challenges lets include her in the team".

As "After all she is married, so she depends on her husband"
or As "She is married & she stands for him so she needs to be treated equally".

As "After all she is girl, she doesn't need education to cook for family"
or As " She is a girl and she is capable/responsible for bringing up a good family, lets educate her".

As "After all she is a girl and she is dependent"
or As "She is a girl and she is more stronger and she just need support & nothing else".

So, how do you think about a woman???

Thank you,
