"INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY"

Best Fashion and Interior Design Institute in Borivali (west), “Envisage Institute of Design”
Established  in 1911, International        Women's Day                 is     a                    major         day           of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of  women  past, present  and future. It  is  a  day in which women  from   around  the world   unite  in  thoughts, prayers, struggles, hopes and dreams. Women's accomplishments in education, business, science, art, medicine, public service, athletics, and every  other  field  have  made  our   world   better  and stronger.
Empowering women in India is very necessary to bring gender equality or  we can say  that gender equality is very necessary to empower    women. Gender  equality  is  the  first  step  to  bring  women empowerment  in India. Men  should  not   understand  that  women are  made only to  handle  household chores   or   take  responsibility of home and family. Instead, both (men and women) are responsible for everything of daily routine. Men too need to understand their responsibility of home and family and all other works women do so that women can get some time to think about  themselves   and   their career. Women  should  also identify their strengths and abilities, and move towards a world of empowerment. On      the    event       of        Women's  Day,   let      us     all     promise  to create a better world to live in.
International Women's Day honor’s the women who have paved the path towards our progress and struggled to take 'womanhood' to a level where it is now. Unfortunately, at the same time, the day is a reminder of the discrimination and inequality that still continues to plague our society. This special  day, dedicated  to women  around  the  world, is  a   celebration  of   the  great   success of women across  all spheres  of   life  as well  as  shaping  the future.
The objective of Women's Day is to express love and gratitude towards women's' contribution to our lives and society. It honor’s the power and struggles of women who have broken all barriers and reached the pinnacle of success in every sphere of life. Today, women across the globe actively participate in politics, education, social work, corporate, sports, IT, research & development, innovation and diverse fields, and have left their  footprints.
Several resolutions to protect women's rights have also been passed  globally, which  has  opened up broader  avenues  for  the growth  and  development  of  women  in  our  society. Women's Day also celebrates  the  role of women  as   daughter, a wife, mother, a sister and a homemaker. The day honor’s the voices that go unheard, the rights that are dominated and the tears that go unnoticed. Even  today, there  are  millions  of  women  around  the world who are  either  speechless  or  are struggling  hard  to secure their rights. The discrimination and inequality is still very prominent, especially in developing  and  backward countries.
Despite all pessimism International Woman's Day  is     a special day dedicated   only   to  women   and   their  role  in  our  lives. Culture and ethnicity has given a new dimension to this day where the tradition of gifting presents to women is popular in some countries. Personalized gifts and greeting cards dedicated to Women's  Day    have         become        exceptionally  popular     today. Many people think it   is  the  ideal  way  to  express  their  love and  gratitude for  women   in    life. Though, the  true  essence   of   the  day  lies  in identifying    the  rights  and   power   of   women    and    giving  them a stature that they deserve.
We can encourage the ladies at our home, our mother, sisters, and wives to pursue their dreams and excel in their career. A wholehearted support, be it however trivial, will boost their self-confidence and will have a transforming impact on the women's way of life. They can only come out of the pathetic situations that we humans have  created.
We remember some of the most inspiring women on international women’s day (IWD.)There is no force more powerful than women determined to rise. Indeed, there are so many strong and dedicated women around the world. Some of them are Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Maria Theresa of Austria, Florence Nightingale. Mari Curie, Coco Chanel, Frida Kahla,Mother Teresa, Rosa Parks, Margaret Thatcher, Anne Frank ,J.K. Rowling ,Malala Yousfzai,Li Tingting , Laxmi Agrawal and so on.
The youngest person ever to receive a Nobel Prize, Malala Yousafzai advocates for women's rights and education around the world. As a young girl with a passion for school in Pakistan's Swat Valley, Yousafzai voiced opposition to the Taliban's restriction of girls and women for years, gaining recognition in the media. In 2012, she was shot and seriously wounded by the Taliban at age 15. Her fight for human rights has become an international movement through the Malala Fund, her bestselling autobiography, titled I am Malala”, and an Oscar-nominated documentary titled He Named Me Malala.

At the age of 16, Laxmi Agarwal was on her way to her first music  lesson  in       New Delhi, India, when         32-year-old        man       whose marriage    proposal    she  had   rejected  threw    acid    on     her. After  three months    in     the  hospital    and      numerous      surgeries,    Agarwal      wore  a veil for eight years to cover the damage to her face until the courage  of   Indian    rape   survivors   inspired   her   not   to   hide   her   face.Today, Agarwal campaigns for the regulation of acid sales in India and for affordable treatment for survivors of acid attacks.

Today we honor:
The women of the past: those who stood up for change and fought for the rights that we live and enjoy today;
The women of the present: those who are in this room today and those women around the world who use their voice to help make our world a better place for women; and the
Women of the future: those who will continue to champion women's voices, to break barriers and keep visible women's achievements and plights.
In   conclusion, we     celebrate  the  IWD  once  in  year  to  take  more advantage of  the  potentials and talents  of  half  of  the  humanity and     not    just  seek  to  concentrate  gender   equality  in    principle. On this    auspicious   day (IWD) we   celebrate   the women   in   our   lives.
They are the corner-stones of our communities working tirelessly and making countless  differences in the lives of those around them.

Thank You...
